Alexa Cowley
Owner of Mountain Home & Alexa Interiors
Alexa, a long-time resident of Evergreen, CO, originally hails from Canada. She has spent over 20 years in the residential design industry, honing her craft and building strong relationships with her clients. Her love of texture and organic design elements informs her work, creating timeless backdrops that help houses become homes.
For Alexa, design is more than just a job - it's a passion. Her deep understanding of design psychology allows her to create personalized experiences for every client, helping them to bring their unique visions to life. Stephanie Wood
Store Manager & Designer
Stephanie, a Colorado native who grew up in Conifer, has traveled extensively throughout her life but has found her way back to the Foothills area. With nine years of retail experience, including two years at Rustic Point, Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role at Mountain Home.
Stephanie holds a degree in Interior Design and has interned at the High Point Furniture Market, the largest furniture industry trade show in the world. She is passionate about furniture, sustainability, and her community, and takes pride in creating comfortable spaces that people can enjoy for years to come. In her free time, Stephanie shares her love of dance with her community by teaching classes in Conifer, and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog.
Rachel Osgood
Store Associate
Rachel holds advanced degrees in Modern US History from Washington and Jefferson College, Old Dominion University, and West Virginia University. After spending 20 years in academia as a history professor, Rachel decided to pursue a new career that allows her to focus more on her passions. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Mountain Home.
In her free time, Rachel is an adventurous traveler and has trekked in Nepal seven times, including to Everest and Annapurna Base Camps. She also enjoys attending live music events, spending time in the great outdoors, and hanging out with her loved ones.
Lori Parsons
Store Associate
Lori, a lifelong Coloradan and a University of Colorado-Boulder graduate with a degree in Advertising, has amassed over 20 years of sales experience. She excels in forming authentic connections with customers and takes pride in providing a meaningful shopping experience. With a natural affinity for art and design since childhood, Lori enjoys helping customers enhance their design visions.
In her free time, Lori hikes with her dog, Lady, enjoys golfing, skiing, painting, and spending time with loved ones. Lori also dedicates her time to local dog rescues, showcasing her passion for animals and community involvement.
Kim Schmidt
Store Associate
In 2022, Kim relocated from Naples, Florida, to Colorado. As an interior and floral designer with Mountain Home, she brings 32 years of experience to create personalized, harmonious spaces inspired by Colorado’s natural beauty. Whether designing homes or events, Kim blends creativity with nature to deliver stunning solutions.
When she’s not offering expert guidance in furnishings and floral artistry, you’ll find her hiking, cooking, or traveling.
Gwen Riley
Store Accountant
Gwen brings over 20 years of finance and research experience to her role as the manager of finances for Mountain Home and the Evergreen Design Center. She holds degrees in Economics and Russian Studies from Wellesley College, and has been a part of the barn since its previous days as a hardware store. Alongside her financial responsibilities, Gwen enjoys staying active through playing tennis, gardening, and spending time with her family.
With a keen eye for detail and an ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, Gwen ensures that the financial side of Mountain Home runs smoothly. Her passion for gardening and love for spending time with family show her appreciation for creating beautiful and meaningful moments, which aligns with the company's ethos of providing personalized and unique experiences for clients.
